ADMINISTRATION July 19, 2021 Contact: Erik Thorson, Communications Director, 763-324-4612, or e-mail: Erik.Thorson@co.anoka.mn.us FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Three -Year Plan Results in Growth for Chomonix Golf Course The Anoka County Board of Commissioners announced at the July 13 County Board meeting the three-year evaluation of Chomonix Golf Course has ended and operations will continue into the future. The new Chomonix leadership vision that was set in place in 2019, along with business operations changes, have grown memberships, programs, and green fees. The new operations model generated revenues that are designed to offset operating expenses. The course has seen progress in several areas, including: The Players Club program; golf cart rentals; driving range usage; food and beverage sales; and season pass sales. "Current golf leagues, members, and players are now assured that Chomonix Golf Course is positively moving forward into the future," said District 5 Anoka County Commissioner Mike Gamache, chair of the county's Parks Committee. "Public and player support has been greatly valued and appreciated throughout the evaluation period and Anoka County will continue its commitment to excellence in best serving the golf community at Chomonix Golf Course." District 6 Anoka County Commissioner Jeff Reinert noted the improvements at the course have made a noticeable impact over the past three years. "Conducting a review of Chomonix's financial situation over the past three years was part of the county's mission to be fiscally responsible," Commissioner Reinert said. "Areas of need were identified, changes were made, and those changes have resulted in sustainable operations at the golf course."
