Mr. Wyshalt noted again that the sketch plan was never approved. Associate Planner Wold advised that sketch plans are not approved. The Planning Commission and City Council provide direction to the developer. Mr. Wyshalt stated the applicant has not followed any of those directions, to which Chairperson Nixt agreed. Mr. Wyshalt indicated thc City has an ordinance that says cul-de-sacs cannot be longer than 600 l'eet. [ lc stated he knows some cities are getting rid of them because they are bad news, and fire hazards, and Ramscy is doing no favors to the residents by allowing a long cul-de-sac. John Monson, 5900 157th L,ane, stated the way it looks, the decks on these houses would be on the tree linc, anct woulcl give absolutely no privacy for the homes to the north. He added that if the gazd,o is g~)i~g to be built that the trail is extended on the other side so they can get kids to the park, as Mr. Wyshalt is correct that there is nowhere for kids to play. Mike Galvin, 15752 Osmium Street, indicated his concern is having a visual buffer. He stated he mentioned it at thc City Cotmcil meeting, but does not see any modification to the plan. He indicated hc would like to see something added, and also see something in the governing documents of thc association rCCluiring they maintain the buffer so it stays. He stated currently trees go tt) Bnilding 6. and then there is a large gap until Building 8, and sporadic afterwards. Patrick l lampton, 15551 Potassium Street, stated when he gets up before the Planning Commission lie is usually lwetty upset. He indicated he lives on ten acres his dad left him, and he was hoping someday lie could develop a few acres. He stated he is upset that these developers arc coming in and taking some of his land. Gary Maxson, 5910 157"' Lane, stated the last few years his back yard has been pretty much a lake. l-lc asked how the drainage would be handled, and if it would drain onto his land. Chairpc~'son Nixt stated that where he stands on this development has not change& He indicated only Ibm' units'have been removed, and a private road is being shown that does not meet Staff's recommendation, fie stated he has a problem with Potassium Street also, and density concerns. Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Brauer to close the public hearing at 9:35 p.m. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Brauer, Levine, Shepherd, Van Set,y, and Watson.
