Subd. 8. State Licensed Contractors Excepted. Those persons who possess <br />valid ~ licenses issued by the State of Minnesota shall not be required to obtain a <br />license from the City' they shall, however, be required to file proof of the existence of a <br />valid masterm3 license together with proof of satisfactory Workers' Compensation <br />insurance coverage, provided said work is covered under the scope of the state <br />license. <br /> <br />The rest of the sections remain the same. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br /> <br />Ibc I'ollowing is the official summary of Ordinance #05- which has been approved by the <br />City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Sectio~ 7.03 entitled Contractors is amended by removing the authority from the Zoning officer <br />and placing it with the Building Official. This is in accordance with State Statute. The <br />applications will be processed by the Building Department staff versus forwarding to the City <br />Clcrk. Thc list of contractors was lengthened to add commercial as well as moving & wrecking <br />buildings, plastering & outside stucco work or lathing, gas installation, siding, sign and billboard <br />erecting, swimming pool installers, septic tank and cesspool pumping, lawn irrigation installers <br />and polc barn, barn construction including erection, alteration or repair of buildings. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
