COtnlci lmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-05-133 RESOI,UTION RECEIVING BIDS AND IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-22, RAMSEY SEGMENT 1 WIIEREAS, on April 12, 2005, City Council adopted Resolution #05-04-093 approving thc plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #05-22, bids wcrc received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the three lowest quotes that were received: AWARDING CONTRACT FOR TOWN CENTER CITY PHASE 2 Bidder W B Miller Three Rivers Construction Burchville Construction Richard Knutson Inc. Dave Perkins Contracting Inc Glenn Rehbein Excavating C S McCrossan Engineers Estimate: AmountofBid $562,096.80 $644,308.13 $652,223.73 $662,922.40 $691,786.00 $697,571.31 $741,261.95 $630,188.60 AND WHEREAS, it appears that WB Miller is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with WB Miller in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of hnprovement Project #05-22 in the amount of $562,096.80. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders lhe deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
