Counci hncmber Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-05-136 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST FROM THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION A TRAFFIC SPEED STUDY ON <br />RIVERDALE DRIVE BETWEEN RAMSY BLVD AND TUNGSTEN STREET <br /> <br />WiIEREAS, the City desires to have a speed study conducted on the above segment of roadway <br /> thc purpose of determining the appropriate speed limit; and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, therc have been no previous speed study conducted on this segment of roadway <br />since thc time it has been constructed; and <br /> <br />WltEREAS, state statutes require that a speed study first be conducted on an urban section of <br />roadway prior to posting any speed limit other than 30 miles per hour. <br /> <br />NOW TtlEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED ..... <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a traffic study by the Department <br />o f Transportation on the segment of Riverdale Drive between Ramsey Blvd. and <br />Tungsten Street. <br /> <br />2.
