Counci lmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-05-147 <br /> <br />RESOi~UTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-23 (EBONY STREET <br />AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN 137TM AVENUE AND RIVERDALE <br />DRIVE) AND CALLING FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND <br />S P EC ! Fl CATIONS <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted October 12, 2004, a <br />fcasibility study for the 2005 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve <br />Jankowski, City Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #05-23; and <br /> <br />WII[EREAS, a resolution of City Council adopted on February 8, 2005 fixed a date for a Council <br />hearing on the proposed improvement of Ebony Street from 137th Avenue to Riverdale Drive; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, <br />and thc public hearing was held thereon on the 22nd day of March, 2005, at which all persons <br />desiring to bc heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br /> fcasibility study report. <br /> <br />2) That such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in this Council resolution. <br /> <br />3) That the City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. <br /> <br />4) That the engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br /> improvement. <br /> <br />'Floc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />glvig and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councihnember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councihnember Strommen <br /> <br />:md thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Ilone <br /> <br />and thc <br /> <br />following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-05-147 <br /> Page 1 Of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
