He indicated there is work going on with the wetlands.
Peterson Environmental has been giving them input on the wetlands.

Mr. Gordon made a presentation to the Commission and EPTF.

Mr. Gordon indicated the Greenway Corridor Plan is a little different approach than what was
looked at in the last Comprehensive Plan update. He stated the work that was done previously
was used to help them with the plan.

Mr. Gordon showed a map of the potential greenway corridor and indicated this was a draft and
he wottkl like input regarding this.

Mi'. Gordon noted the basis for the greenway was the wetland system. Important to the greenway
outside of the wetland is the upland habitat. Trott Brook is one of the major features people
relatc to in tcrms of values to the community.

Chairperson Johlls thought this looked a lot like their trail plan.

Ms. Sit× explained the greenways go beyond just trails because this is preserving open space for
wildlifc and other things. She noted trails are a subset of the entire plan.

Chairpcrson Johns thought this fit in nicely for their future plans.

Mr. Gordon stated this is a map that tries to bring the habitat and people together. They are
trying to cstablish a basis with this.

Park and Recreation Commission/April 14, 2005
Page 2 of 10
