Counci hnember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-05-120 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST A TRAFFIC SPEED <br />STUDY ON RAMSEY BOULEVARD BETWEEN HIGHWAY #10 AND BUNKER LAKE <br />BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Town Center is developing adjacent to this stretch of Ramsey <br />Boulevard and will generate increased traffic; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey Boulevard is being updated from a rural section to an urban section; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, state statutes require that a speed study first be conducted on an urban section of <br />roadway prior to posting any speed limit other than 30 miles per hour. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />The City Council authorizes the City Engineer to request a traffic study by the <br />Department of Transportation on the segment of Ramsey Boulevard between Trunk <br />Highway 10 and Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br /> <br />The City Engineer will report to the City Council the findings of the Department of <br />Transportation. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councihnember <br />Olson, and vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Bone <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />i]one <br /> <br />and thc following were absent: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-05-120 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
