Case #11: <br /> <br />Tabled. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Request to Rezone Property from R-1 Single Family Residential to Planned <br />Unit Development; Case of National Growth <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat and Site Plan Approval of Rum River Estates; <br />Case of National Growth <br /> <br />Tabled. <br /> <br />Case #13: <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance to Amend the Town Center Zoning District <br />Regarding Driveway Lengths and Front yard Setbacks <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that the proposed ordinance would <br />amend the minimum driveway length in the Town Center Zoning District to 20 feetl and would <br />amend the front yard setback to 0-25 feet across the board in the TC-4 Zoning District. The <br />Council introduced the ordinance at the June 14, 2005 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to adopt. Ordinance #05- <br />15 amending driveway length and front yard setback regulations in the Town Center Zoning <br />District. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig commented the Council was fairly opposed to this <br />change in the driveway length requirements, and through different conversations and travels it <br />has become clear the change in the requirements will not have a bad effect. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec: aye <br />Councilmember Cook: aye <br />Councilmember Elvig: aye <br />Counci lmember Jeffrey: absent <br />Councilmember Olson: aye <br />Councilmember Pearson: aye <br />Councilmember Strommen: aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #14: Consider T.H. #47 Pedestrian Underpass Design <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that last Tuesday the Council authorized staff to <br />prepare plans and specifications for the construction of a pedestrian underpass under TH 47 in <br />the vicinity of Marigold Ponds subdivision. Staff is requesting authorization to advertis~ for bids <br />for the project, as it is the intention to complete the construction of the underpass before Labor <br />Day weekend since MnDOT is planning on reopening the highway before that weekend. He <br />advised the estimated cost of this project is $390,000 and includes the engineering, design.and a <br /> <br />City Council / June 28, 2005 <br /> Page 19 of 24 <br /> <br />P35 <br /> <br /> <br />
