Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />The l'bllowing Council minutes were noted: <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated January 25, 2005 <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated February 8, 2005 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS' <br /> <br />Case # 1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the <br />Proposed Plat of Sweet Bay Ridge; Case of Oakwood Land Development <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Review of Sweet Bay Ridge; Case of Oakwood Land <br />Development <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at <br />7:13 p.m. in order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson called the public hearing to order at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated that the City received an application from <br />Oakwood Land Development for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. The request is <br />to change the land use designation from R-1 Rural Reserve to Low'Density Residential on the <br />property generally known as the St. Anthony Gun Club, which is located on the east side of <br />Variolitc at about 161st Avenue. The amendment to the Comprehensive Plan, along with a <br />subdivision request, would allow the applicant to develop the property'with single-family homes <br />served by sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon explained Oakwood Land Development is <br />proposing to extend sanitary sewer and municipal water to the former St. Anthony Gun Club <br />property in the R-1 Residential - Rural Reserve District.
