Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt resolution 05- <br />07-243 awarding Improvement Project 04-27, MPCA Storm Sewer Rerouting contract to Glenn <br />Rcbbein F, xcavating in the amount of $44,214.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Cook, Elvig, Olson, <br />l~carson, and Strommen, Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #20: <br /> <br />Consider Entering into a Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka County for <br />Improvement Project 02-716-07 <br /> <br />City t.;nginccr Jankowski stated before the Council is consideration of the proposed joint powers <br />agreement between the City and Anoka County for Improvement Project S.P. 02-716-07. This <br />project consists of the improvement of the segment of CR 116 from TH 47 to Dysprosium Street <br />to a fbur lane divided roadway. The project includes the signalization of the <br />1)ysprosium/Thurston intersection with Bunker Lake Boulevard including emergency vehicle <br />preemption (EVP) devices. There will also be some modifications to the southernmost 150 feet <br />of Dysprosium Street for turn lanes, and the addition of a dedicated right turn lane for westbound <br />CR 116 at TH 47. The costs attributable to the City of Ramsey for this project are estimated to <br />be $l 17,747 as detailed on pages 4 and 5 of the draft agreement. Funds for this work are <br />anticipated to come from TIF District #2. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to enter into the draft <br />.joint powers agreement for S.P. 02-716-07. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Cook, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #21: <br /> <br />Approve Public Works Committee Recommendation Regarding Public <br />Notification of TH 47 Project Schedule <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated construction of the TH 47 project is scheduled to begin within <br />the next l~cw weeks. He reviewed the following information regarding the project: <br /> <br /> Project will start on August 1 st with construction south of CR 116 <br />· Project south of CR 116 will be completed on or before August 13th <br />· A preconstruction conference will be held on July 26th, after which a more detailed <br /> schedule for the remaining areas of the project may be available <br />· Thc entire project is to be completed by September 3rd <br />· Thc road closures for the hump removal south of 167th Avenue and the tunnel underpass <br /> th <br /> near 160 Lane cannot happen at the same time, since there would be no access to the <br /> th <br /> residents dependant on the 164 Lane access to TH 47 <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained the public affairs office of MnDOT will be issuing press <br />releases regarding the schedule and activities associated with this project, however, because of <br />the briel' duration of the project, their news releases will be directed to the area news media.
