COMMENTS & RESPONSES <br /> <br />Comlllelltor : <br /> <br />Kevin Kain, Project Manager, Environmental Review and Operations <br />Section, Regional Division, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br /> <br />Comment [)ate : July 7, 2005 <br /> <br />Thank you l'or your response regarding the Sweetbay Ridge Development Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet. <br /> <br />As stated in Item 8 of the EAW, a Wetland Conservation Act (WCA) joint notification will be filed and <br />wetland permit applications will be prepared and submitted to the City of Ramsey and the U,S. Army <br />Corps ot' Engineers to obtain authorization for wetland alterations under the WCA and Section 404 of the <br />Federal Clean Water Act prior to project construction. A waiver of the Clean Water Act Section 401 <br />Water Quality Certification from the MPCA will be added to the list of permits required for this project. <br /> <br />The Responsible Governmental Unit for the Sweetbay Ridge Development EAW is the City of Ramsey. <br />The City distributed the EAW for review by the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board EAW review <br />distribution list, which includes your agency. The comment period was complete on July 20, 2005, and <br />the Ramsey City Council will be deciding on the need for further environmental study at their meeting on <br />August 9, 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />
