Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-234 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR BUSINESS PARK 95 STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-03 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct streets within the Business Park <br />95 subdivision including McKinley Street, Unity Street, Radium Street, and 140th Avenue in <br />2021 as identified in the 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #20-259, adopted November <br />10, 2020, the City Council accepted the quotes of Bolton & Menk, Inc. to provide topographic <br />survey services and Chosen Valley Testing for the geotechnical evaluation services required to <br />design and prepare plans and specifications for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff received the topographic survey and geotechnical evaluations <br />and has the capacity to prepare plans and specifications for improvement project #21-03, <br />Business Park 95 Street Reconstructions; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-010, adopted January 12, <br />2021, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for <br />bids for the same improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-060, adopted March 23, <br />2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-106 adopted April 27, <br />2021, the bid of North Valley, Inc., of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $942,685.58, for <br />the construction of said improvements was accepted, and the Mayor and city Administrator were <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said <br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, Change Order #1 in the amount of $9,750.00 will allow for the replacement <br />of damaged watermain gate valve box sections, which the approved plans and specifications did <br />not account for. <br />
