proratcd. The annual license fee and expiration date shall be as provided in 701.10 of the Code, <br />except that no license shall be required for: <br /> <br />Plumbing work that entails the installation within a building of the pipes, fittings, <br />and fixtures that carry water and waste; <br /> <br />b. Electrical construction and installation; <br /> <br />c. Water conditioning servicing and installation; <br /> <br />ct. <br /> <br />Water supply installation and construction (well drillers); provided that the <br />applicant for any of these licenses presents for filing a copy of their license issued <br />by the appropriate State of Minnesota regulatory board. <br /> <br /> Subd. 5. Expiration. All licenses issued under the Code of the City shall expire on <br />December 3 1st following the date of issuance. If a license is granted hereunder and is not <br />renewed prior to expiration then all rights granted by such license shall cease and any work <br />performed after the expiration of the license shall be in violation of the Code of the City. All <br />licenses arc subject to revocation or forfeiture prior to expiration date. <br /> <br /> Subd. 6. Specific Trades Licensed. Licenses shall be obtained by every person <br />engaging in the following businesses or work in accordance with the applicable Section of the <br />Code of the City: <br /> <br />General contractors in the business of building construction. Exempted from this <br />general contractor licensing requirement shall be any individual who applies to <br />the City for a permit to build a home to be occupied by themselves. However, if <br />the same individual makes another application to build another home to be <br />occupied by themselves within two years from the date of the first building permit <br />application, a general contracting license shall then be required for any structure <br />built within the two year period; <br /> <br />b. General construction including erection, alteration or repair of buildings; <br /> (commercial construction); <br /> <br />c. ! Icating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration; <br /> <br />d. Sewer and water connections between street connection and property line; <br /> <br />c. Water supply system installation and construction; <br /> <br />Excavations, including excavation for footings, basements, grading of lots, sewer <br />and water line installation, etc.; <br /> <br />Cement contractors and block layers. Nothing here shall be construed as <br />preventing any such qualified licensee from performing the work by an employee <br />under their supervision and control, or by contract with another person qualified <br /> <br /> <br />
