CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Special Work Session on Tuesday, June 15, <br />2021, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember Ryan Heineman — attended remotely joined at 7:05 p.m. <br />Councilmember Chelsee Howell <br />Councilmember Debra Musgrove <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Dan Specht <br />Councilmember Matt Woestehoff <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Administrative Services Director Colleen Lasher <br />Deputy City Administrator Timothy Gladhill <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Kuzma called the City Council Special Work Session to order at 6:42 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Review Union Contract Negotiation Schedule and Process <br />Administrative Services Director Lasher reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Riley commented that because Mayor Kuzma has been involved, he would <br />support Mayor Kuzma continuing to participate as a member of the Council if he is willing and <br />able to continue to attend. <br />Mayor Kuzma confirmed that he would continue to participate. <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that staff will continue to check back with the full Council to <br />provide updates and gain direction. <br />Councilmember Musgrove stated that she still struggles with the process. She asked if the intent <br />is that those in the meeting representing the City are non -union employees. <br />City Administrator Ulrich confirmed that the employees representing the City in the negotiations <br />would be non -union employees. <br />City Council Special Work Session / June 15, 2021 <br />Page 1 of 10 <br />
