Look to Future <br />By 2040, the city is anticipated to have a population of 19,400 living among 6,400 households and to <br />provide 11,200 jobs. The eastern half of the City is guided for significant development in the future <br />focused around CSAH 241. There is an interchange planned in the Northeast Wright County <br />Transportation Plan to be constructed at Naber Avenue and 1-94. The development of an interchange at <br />this location will likely result in the development of a commercial area to serve drivers on the interstate <br />and those traveling to the north along Naber Avenue toward Otsego. This will also be a logical location <br />for business/office park uses south of 1-94 and industrial uses to the northwest adjacent to the <br />commercial. <br />Progress <br />An interchange is planned at 1-94 and Naber Avenue NE, just north of 50th Street and Middle School East. <br />MnDOT and the Federal Highway Administration have approved the interchange, which included <br />extensive traffic and environmental reviews.
