Page 5 <br />b. Jurisdictional Authority/Approvals/Permits <br />As the project moves from the planning stages to design and construction, permits will be <br />required from various agencies. The following agencies will be permitting entities for considered <br />improvements: <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation State Aid: Variolite Street is a State Aid route, <br />• Anoka County: Nowthen Boulevard is a county roadway, <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency: NPDES Storm Water Permit, <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency: Sanitary Sewer Extension Permit, <br />Minnesota Department of Health (MDH): Watermain Extension, <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR): Dewatering, and <br />Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization: Storm Water related. <br />IX. ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENT CONSIDERATIONS <br />Street Lighting <br />No costs are included in this report for street lighting. <br />Trails/Sidewalks <br />No trails or sidewalks are included in this analysis. <br />Landscaping <br />The improvements considered with this report include a very utilitarian landscaping approach to <br />the area. Features, such as trees, shrubs, decorative features, and monuments are not included in <br />the estimated project costs. <br />Right of Way and Easements <br />We assumed that required rights of way would be dedicated as a portion of the development <br />process, and no costs are included in the project costs for acquisitions. <br />X.
