a. The width of a driveway cannot exceed the primary garage width by more than 15 <br />feet in the side yard. or in the absence of a garage. a traffic lane to a parking Dad <br />that cannot exceed 20 feet in width. <br />b. Driveway parking may not extend beyond the front of the primary garage without <br />meeting the performance standards for parking Dads and side or rear yard parking. <br />c. Variances. Variances from the strict enforcement of this section may be granted in <br />accordance with the procedures and requirements of Section 117-51. <br />Sec. 117-349 Accessory uses and buildings (d) (7) shall be amended to read as follows: <br />(7) Driveways and Parking Pads. <br />c. Parking Dads. A parking Dad may be installed on a residential property with a zoning <br />permit. The parking Dad may not exceed standards set in Section 117-355 regarding <br />residential development off-street parking including but not limited to: <br />i. Number of vehicles and items allowed <br />ii. Surfacing requirements of the residential zoning districts <br />iii. Parking pad must be in the side or rear yard. <br />d. Parking Dad size and number. Properties less than 2.5 acres in size cannot have more <br />than one (1) parking Dad with a maximum size of 500 square feet. <br />e. Setbacks. Parking Dads must meet setbacks for accessory structures set in Section <br />117-111. <br />f. Principal building required. No accessory parking Dads or driveways shall be <br />constructed on any lot prior to the time of construction of the principal building. <br />g. Variances. Variances from the strict enforcement of this section may be granted in <br />accordance with the procedures and requirements of Section 117-51. <br />Section 117-355 Residential development off-street parking (b) shall be amended to read as <br />follows: <br />(b) In any residential district, outside parking of any motor vehicle(s) and/or recreational <br />equipment is subject to the following conditions: <br />(1) <br />Number of items. <br />a. Six items allows allowed for outdoor storage and parking on parcels less than two <br />acres in size. <br />b. Eight items allowed for outdoor storage and parking on parcels between two and <br />4.99 acres in size. <br />c. Ten items allowed for outdoor storage and parking on parcels five acres or greater <br />in size. <br />d. Items stored or parked separate from other items shall count as one item each; <br />multiple items stored or parked on a trailer, for instance, count as one item. <br />(Example: two snowmobiles and an empty trailer on the ground are three items; <br />two snowmobiles on a trailer are one item). <br />
