R eir • 7,1,(0 MINNESOTA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE FORM -CONTINUATION SHEET pagc 6 <br />SITE #: 21AN0199 <br />Site Name: Agency/Field #: TBFS1345 <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Reason or Update or Survey Location. _Vie Characterstie, Materials Present, Selling, <br />Archaeological Methods, etc.,. 0/lath extra sheets as needed.) <br />At the time of this site form, Excelsior Group is proposing the construction of a residential development at -Trott <br />Brook Property" in die City of Ramsey, Anoka County Minnesota.. The proposed development would include the <br />construction of housing on 2.70 lots with associated roads and drives, ponds, and a dedicated park area.. \know <br />Cultural Consultants LLC (4'ICC1 was contracted to complete the Phase 1 Archaeological Sung.) for this project. <br />NCC completed the fieldwork on June 14, 15, and 16, 2021. Fieldwork consisted of surface survey of all agricultural <br />areas on a seven -meter interval. Visibility across the project area ranged between 70 and 90%. Surface survey <br />licsulted in the identification of six surface find spots (labeled FSI through. FS6 on Map 2). All ix artifacts were <br />tertiary (port/ flakes or quartz shatter...The locations of the lind pot divide them into three archaeological sites; F52 <br />(single fuel spot - quartz tertiary flakels):, FS6 isingle fine spot - quartz shatter); and F51, 3, 4, and 5 (lithic scatter - <br />quartz tertiary flakes). The find spots associated with this site rorni re F51, 3, 4, and 5 Oat boundary highlighted in <br />blue on "dap 2). A series of eip,ht shovel tests at a 3.0m in[cil vicr.c.. completed on a low ridgellne overl-o kin Trott <br />13mok to the south (jut north of FS1, 3, 4, and 5), with a ninth shovel. test at the southern base of the ridgeline u 151. <br />The typical soil profile along the ridzeline consists of 11-1VR313 Siity s:tild with slight gravel front 0 to an averAge of <br />30cmbs (plow zone), followed by I OVR4i3 Silty Sand ith slight gravel from 30cmbs to an 5iver4,re of 55cmbs, and <br />Finally I 0YR-114.
