Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-263 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE LESO <br />1033 PROGRAM FOR SURPLUS FEDERAL EQUIPMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the city of Ramsey and its police department have been <br />participating in the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) 1033 program for years. <br />WHEREAS, the city of Ramsey has been previously awarded surplus federal equipment <br />from the LESO program that directly supports the arrest and apprehension mission of the <br />Ramsey Police Department. <br />WHEREAS, the safety and security of Ramsey residents are improved by the equipment <br />made available to Ramsey Police Officers from the LESO 1033 program. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The city council adopt resolution #21-263, authorizing The Ramsey Police Department to <br />continue participation in the LESO 1033 program administered by the MN Department of <br />Homeland Security. <br />2. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to execute necessary agreements related to <br />continued participation in this program on behalf of the City of Ramsey and its Police <br />Department. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
