Paid On -call <br />Firefighter <br />Bargaining Unit: None <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Established Date: Sep 19, 2018 <br />Revision Date: Jun 29, 2021 <br />Class Code: <br />1 009 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$12.88 Hourly <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: <br />PaidOn-call Firefighters respond to a variety of emergency cy and non -emergency events under <br />the general supervision of an officer. These events include fires, hazardous materials, first <br />aid, rescue, confined space rescue, water rescue, medical and other emergency incidents. <br />Paid on -call Firefighters also participate in training and maintenance activities and provide <br />fire safety education training and community relations to the public. <br />The City of Ramsey is recruiting for Station #1 1 o g Armstrong Boulevard in Ramsey) and <br />Station #2 50 Alpine Drive NW in Ramsey). PaidOn-call Firefighters must meet response <br />time requirements from the station that they are assigned. <br />All formal (required) training will be provided and paid for by the City. No previous experience <br />is necessary. New Firefighters will begin working on or near Wednesday, September, 15, <br />2021 and will attend the Anoka County Fire Academy when dates are established. <br />**All interested candidates MUST attend the mandatory informational meeting on <br />Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be held at Fire Station #1 — <br />1Armstrong Boulevard NW. Only those candidates that attend the meeting will <br />have their application reviewed.* <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />The successful applicant must possess the following minimum qualifications: <br />• Must be 18 years of age or older <br />• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent <br />• Must possess a valid Minnesota Drivers License, with a good driving record <br />• Must be able to show proof of valid automobile insurance <br />
