<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-270 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 3 TO NORTH VALLEY, <br />INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-04, 2021 NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT <br />OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous <br />neighborhood street segments in 2021 as identified within the 2021 – 2030 Capital Improvement <br />Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funding for this improvement is proposed to come from the Pavement <br />Management Fund and Stormwater Utility Fund with a total estimated project cost of $594,000; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-011 adopted January 12, <br />2021, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for <br />bids for the same improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-074, adopted March 23, <br />2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, seven (7) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on April 19, 2021, and <br />the bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for <br />bids; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-107, adopted April 27, <br />2021 the bid of North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $421,410.74 for the <br />construction of said improvements was accepted, and the Mayor and City Administrator were <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said <br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of September 28, 2021 $387,748.81 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Engineer Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment No. 3 to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for Improvement <br />Project #21-04, 2021 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, in the amount of <br />$5,949.85. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
