Council Update th Welcome New Ramsey Business: Big Adventures Academy, located at 8019 146 Ave NW Suite 105. Big Adventures Academy is a child care facility and the first business to open in the West Armstrong Retail building. Big Adventures strives to help children discover who they are and how they fit in this big world while bringing the faith-based aspect of learning into their daily lives. The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions:  Rink Attendants – Temporary 10-week positions starting December 17, 2021. Rate of pay is $10.33 per hour. Maintain the warming houses during the skating season through responsible, safety-minded work. Must be 16 years old by December 9, 2021. These positions are open until 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  Snow Plow Drivers – Temporary positions. Rate of pay is $13.00 per hour. Assist the Public Works Department with cul-de-sac routes using one of the City’s 1-ton pick-up trucks on an as-needed basis through the winter months. These positions are open until filled, so if interested please apply immediately.  Paid On-call Firefighters – Recruiting for both Fire Station #1 (Armstrong Boulevard) and #2 (Alpine Drive). Respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency events under the general supervision of an officer. Rate of pay is $12.88 per hour. Join members of the Ramsey Police Department Wednesday, December 8, between 9:00 - 11:00 am for a unique outdoor Coffee With a Cop experience. Meet at Elmcrest Park, 16303 Quicksilver Street NW, and enjoy a complimentary coffee while meeting our officers. Recreation Updates:  Gentle Movement Yoga. Tuesday, November 9, 6:00 – 7:00 pm, at the Park Center Building. Gentle Movement Yoga is an hour-long yoga class where we will connect to our breath through mindful movement.
