The following official summary of Ordinance #21-11 has been approved by the City Council of <br />the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. <br />Ordinance #21-11 amends Section 10-1 to clarify requirements for maintaining certain animals in <br />the City of Ramsey, including allowing roosters and crowing hens via an administrative permit on <br />properties that are at least two and a half (2.5) acres in size and located in the R-1 Residential <br />(Rural Developing District), and updates the animal table to allow for emus, rabbits, mini -cows <br />and bison on certain properties. Ducks will also be allowed with similar requirements as chickens, <br />and beekeeping will require a zoning permit in replacement of a land use application. The <br />ordinance also amends Article III to include cats under the same provisions as dogs. <br />SECTION 4.
