CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 9, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey (arrived late) <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Ass't Community Development Dir/HRA Executive Dir. Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sean Sullivan <br />Development Consultant Mike Mulrooney <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:08 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Pearson to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION: Recognition of Donation from Ramsey Lions for Defibrillators for <br /> City Hall and Fire Station No. 1 <br /> <br />Police Chief Way stated the Ramsey Lions will be donating two defibrillator units to the City, <br />which staff had submitted a proposal for. He explained the idea is to have one unit at the Fire <br />Station and one at City Hall for emergencies, with staff trained on how to use the units. He <br />expressed the City's appreciation to the Ramsey Lions for their donations to the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Frederick of the Ramey Lions thanked the City for their support of the Ramsey Lions. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the Ramsey Lions have been a real asset with all of the things they do for <br />the City, and throughout the area.
