Absent: None. <br />6.03: Public Hearing: Consider Resolution #21-287 Granting a Conditional Use Permit for <br />Auto Sales at 6957 Highway 10 NW and Declaring Terms of Agreement; Case of Laws <br />Auto Connection <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Bauer called the public hearing to order at 8:56 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Planning Technician McCann presented the staff report statingthat staff recommends adoption of <br />Resolution #21-287 granting a Conditional Use Permit to Laws Auto Connection for auto sales at <br />6957 Highway 10 NW. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br />Jay Laws, applicant, appreciated the Commission hearing his request. <br />Rick Gordhammer, another business owner at 6957 Highway 10 NW, stated that Laws Auto <br />Connection has been working under his company unlicensed for the last two years. He stated that <br />he just learned about this request today and found out about the request to office out of his same <br />building. He stated that he has held the required permits and licensing for all the years he has been <br />in business. He stated that he is not happy to hear that this a similar business to his and found the <br />information in the application to be false. He stated that consumers see one address and the only <br />difference is the suite number. He noted that he has been operating his business for almost 20 <br />years and is opposed to the request tonight. <br />Mr. Laws stated that he did not realize that his application stated that he had a license. He noted <br />that he has operated under the license of Mr. Gordhammer for the past two years. He noted that <br />Mr. Gordhammer has had similar partners in the past that have gained another office at the location <br />to operate out of and was unsure why he was opposing the request.
