The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br /> Rink Attendants – Temporary 10-week positions starting Friday, December 17, 2021. <br />Rate of pay is $10.33 per hour. Maintain the warming houses during the skating season <br />through responsible, safety-minded work. Must be 16 years old by December 16, 2021. <br />These positions are open until filled, so if interested please apply immediately. <br /> Snow Plow Drivers – Temporary positions. Rate of pay is $13.00 per hour. Assist the <br />Public Works Department with cul-de-sac routes using one of the City’s 1-ton pick-up <br />trucks on an as-needed basis through the winter months. These positions are open until <br />filled, so if interested please apply immediately. <br /> Paid On-Call Firefighters – Recruiting for both Fire Station #1 (Armstrong Boulevard) <br />and #2 (Alpine Drive). Respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency events <br />under the general supervision of an officer. Rate of pay is $12.88 per hour. These positions <br />are open until early December 2021, so if interested please apply immediately. <br /> Streets Maintenance Worker – This is a full-time position that will provide general <br />maintenance of public streets, right-of-way, storm sewer systems, parking lots and any <br />other related municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public streets, <br />trails and walks. Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with both <br />air brake and tanker endorsements. Rate of pay is $23.68/hour and has paid leave <br />benefits (sick, vacation and holidays). This is an AFSCME union position. Join Ramsey Mayor Mark Kuzma and Council Members <br />for the annual tree lighting event at City Hall, Tuesday, November 30, at 6:00 pm. After <br />the lighting, stay outdoors for a horse drawn trolley ride, or warm up inside City Hall for a <br />cup of hot cocoa and cookies - generously provided by the Ramsey Lions. Santa will also <br />be making a visit, so don’t forget your lists and a camera for a photo or two! At 6:30 pm <br />we’ll do a Create-Your-Own polymer clay ornament. The City of Ramsey is hosting its first ever Holiday Lights <br />Contest. Registration is now open and closes Friday, December 3. A map with all <br />participating addresses will be available on the City’s website (after registration closes) for <br />residents to take a self-guided tour. Judging will take place the week of December 13 -17. <br />Prizes available for winners. Residential, commercial and industrial properties are <br />welcome to participate.
