In this case, there are two land owners that the petitioner needs to serve <br />notice. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Musgrove, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to Adopt Amended <br />Resolution #21-291 Designating Cartway Route and Ordering Public Hearing for Petitioned <br />Cartway Access to Thorn Lake Property (PID #04-32-25-31-0001); Case of Thomas and Pattiann <br />Kurak, using the alternate route through Shawn Acres Park with the amended resolution as stated. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Musgrove thanked staff and residents for working together <br />and bringing forward an alternate route, noting it shows a good working relationship. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Kuzma, Councilmembers Musgrove, Riley, Heineman, <br />Howell, Specht, and Woestehoff. Voting No: None. <br />7.02: Consider Hiring an IT Support Technician Backfilling a Vacant Position <br /> <br />This item was removed upon adoption of the agenda. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced the upcoming EDA sponsored Ramsey Business Expo on <br />Saturday, October 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Adrenaline Sports Center. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated the Public Works Department will be hosting an Open House at <br />the new Public Works facility on October 16, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated the Public Works Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 19, <br />2021 and the next City Council meeting is on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced that the newly hired attorney and Community Development <br />Director/Deputy City Administrator will begin work on November 1, 2021. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove thanked the Fire Department for holding two Open Houses this week, <br />noting they did a great job of representing the Department and engaging residents. She sent <br />pictures of the event to staff and encouraged residents to also share their pictures. Councilmember <br />Musgrove stated the new fire truck is impressive. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich reported that the Fire Chief estimated over 300 people attended the two <br />open houses. <br />9.
