CASE # <br /> <br /> LIONS PICNIC/APPLICATION FOR <br />A TWO-DAY, 3.2 MALT LIQUOR LICENSE <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br /> <br />Ilackground: <br /> <br />Thc Ramscy l,ions are applying for a two-day, 3.2% malt liquor license for the softball <br />tournament hosted by Diamond's Sports Bar & Grille. The tournament is scheduled for August <br />~6" and 27'~ at Central Park. The Lions have provided all of the necessary documents required <br />/~)r issuance of this type of license. Under City Code, it is a permissible activity to grant a 3.2% <br />malt liquor license to the Ramsey Lions Club for this event. <br /> <br />As has bccn done in the past, City staff is requesting Council waive the license fee. The Lions <br />(:lub is non-profit and generously gives to the community. One hundred percent of the proceeds <br />li)r thc sale of the 3.2 liquor will go to the Lions. The only liquor sold in the area will be the 3.2 <br />liquor by the Lions. Mr. Gruber of Diamonds is aware of this.
