Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br /> <br />1 ) City Council regular meeting minutes dated January 25, 2005 <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated February 8, 2005 <br /> <br />PIJBIAC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the <br />Proposed Plat of Sweet Bay Ridge; Case of Oakwood Land Development <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for Sketch Plan Review of Sweet Bay Ridge; Case of Oakwood Land <br /> Development <br /> / <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at <br />7:13 p.m. in order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Itcaring <br /> <br />Vice Chairpcrson Johnson called the public hearing to order at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Corn mu ni ty Development Director Trudgeon stated that the City received an application from <br />Oakwood. l,and Development for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. The request is <br />to change the land use designation from R-1 Rural Reserve to Low Density Residential on the <br />property generally known as the St. Anthony Gun Club, which is located on the east side of <br />Variol itc at about 16 l"t Avenue. The amendment to the Comprehensive Plan, along with a <br />subdivisi{)n re. quest, would allow the applicant to develop the property with single-family homes <br />served by sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> <br />(Mmmunity Development Director Trudgeon explained Oakwood Land Development is <br />proposing to extend sanitary sewer and municipal water to the former St. Anthony Gun Club <br />property in the R-1 Residential - Rural Reserve District.
