Come Work With Us! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Paid On -Call Firefighters — Recruiting for both Fire Station #1 (Armstrong Boulevard) and #2 (Alpine Drive). Respond to a variety of emergency and non -emergency events under the general supervision of an officer. Rate of pay is $12.88 per hour. These positions are open until early December 2021, so if interested please apply immediately. • Streets Maintenance Worker — This is a full-time position that will provide general maintenance of public streets, right-of-way, storm sewer systems, parking lots and any other related municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker endorsements. Rate of pay is $24.389/hour and has paid leave benefits (sick, vacation and holidays). This is an AFSCME union position. This position closes at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. • Utilities Maintenance Worker — This is a full-time position that will provide general and skilled maintenance of public water and sewer utilities. This includes annual maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software and all other components of the utility systems. Responsibilities will also include building and grounds maintenance in and around utility structures and equipment, and responding to utility emergencies as necessary. This position will also be involved in snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker endorsements. The 2022 rate of pay is $24.389/hour and has paid leave benefits (sick, vacation & holidays). This is an AFSCME union position. Book online at www.golfriversbend.com. Attached to the Weekly Update is a Letter of Congratulations to Riversbend Bar & Grill. Recycle Holiday Lights. The Ramsey Municipal Center will be serving as a drop-off location for recycling holiday lights. All strands of holiday lights, whether they work or not, can be dropped off at the Ramsey Municipal Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW) during regular business hours (Monday — Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) beginning December 1 through the end of January, 2022. All light strands will be recycled and there is no cost to residents for this service. Please remember that while strands of holiday lights are recyclable, they cannot be placed in your curbside recycling cart. Please remove light strands from any plastic framing/shapes before dropping them off. Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet. The City of Ramsey is a collection site for Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet this holiday season. Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet are non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that assist Anoka County families in providing gifts and meals to their children during the holidays. Cash donations can be dropped in the "Cash Can" at the front desk in the lobby. Non-perishable food items, new toys, books and clothing items are also being collected through Tuesday, December 14. These items can be placed in the drop box found in the lobby of Ramsey City Hall during business hours (Monday — Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).
