The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Paid On -Call Firefighters — Recruiting for both Fire Station #1 (Armstrong Boulevard) <br />and #2 (Alpine Drive). Respond to a variety of emergency and non -emergency events <br />under the general supervision of an officer. Rate of pay is $12.88 per hour. These positions <br />are open until early December 2021, so if interested please apply immediately. <br />• Streets Maintenance Worker — This is a full-time position that will provide general <br />maintenance of public streets, right-of-way, storm sewer systems, parking lots and any <br />other related municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public streets, <br />trails and walks. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with both <br />air brake and tanker endorsements. Rate of pay is $24.389/hour and has paid leave <br />benefits (sick, vacation and holidays). This is an AFSCME union position. This position <br />closes at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. <br />• Utilities Maintenance Worker — This is a full-time position that will provide general and <br />skilled maintenance of public water and sewer utilities. This includes annual maintenance <br />and troubleshooting of hardware, software and all other components of the utility systems. <br />Responsibilities will also include building and grounds maintenance in and around utility <br />structures and equipment, and responding to utility emergencies as necessary. This position <br />will also be involved in snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. Must possess a <br />Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker <br />endorsements. The 2022 rate of pay is $24.389/hour and has paid leave benefits (sick, <br />vacation & holidays). This is an AFSCME union position. This position closes at 11:59 <br />pm on Monday, December 20, 2021 <br />Attached to the Weekly Update is a City of Ramsey - Come Work With Us Flyer. <br />Riversbend Bar & Grill Expansion: Congratulations to Riversbend Bar & <br />Grill, located at 14077 St Francis Blvd NW, on their recent dining room <br />expansion to accommodate a large group dining area and golf simulator. <br />Book online at www.golfriversbend.com. Attached to the Weekly Update is <br />a Letter of Congratulations to Riversbend Bar & Grill. <br />Recycle Holiday Lights. The Ramsey Municipal Center will be serving as a drop-off location for <br />recycling holiday lights. All strands of holiday lights, whether they work or not, can be dropped <br />off at the Ramsey Municipal Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW) during regular business hours <br />(Monday — Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) beginning December 1 through the end of January, <br />2022. All light strands will be recycled and there is no cost to residents for this service. Please <br />remember that while strands of holiday lights are recyclable, they cannot be placed in your <br />curbside recycling cart. Please remove light strands from any plastic framing/shapes before <br />dropping them off. <br />Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet. The City of Ramsey is a collection site for Toys for Joy and <br />Granny's Closet this holiday season. Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet are non-profit 501(c)(3) <br />organizations that assist Anoka County families in providing gifts and meals to their children <br />during the holidays. Cash donations can be dropped in the "Cash Can" at the front desk in the <br />lobby. Non-perishable food items, new toys, books and clothing items are also being collected <br />through Tuesday, December 14. These items can be placed in the drop box found in the lobby of <br />Ramsey City Hall during business hours (Monday — Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm). <br />
