<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-354 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECERTIFYING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 8 <br />AND RETURNINGEXCESS TAX INCREMENTS TO OTHER TAXING <br />JURISDICTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Ramsey (the “City”) has heretofore created Tax Increment <br />Financing District No. 8 (the “Tax Increment District”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the developments to be undertaken within the Tax Increment District as set <br />forth in the tax increment financing plans have been completed and the final tax increment payment <br />has been made or decertification of the Tax Increment District is required pursuant to law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby finds, declares and determines to decertify Tax Increment <br />Financing District No. 8 effective as of December 31, 2021. <br /> <br />2. Any tax increments collected from Tax Increment Financing District No. 8 shall be <br />returned to the County Auditor of Anoka County for distribution to the affected tax <br />jurisdictions in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.176, subdivision 2. <br /> <br />3. The City Administrator is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution to the <br />County Auditor of Anoka County and to take all other steps which are necessary to <br />decertify Tax Increment Financing District No. 8, and to distribute the tax increments <br />to the County. <br /> <br />That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Musgrove and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
