Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Levine to recommend that City Council approve Jeff Stevenson's request for a conditional use permit for a commercial dog kennel to provide dog obedience training at 8125 173~d Avenue NW, based on the findings of fact, with a change to Condition # 13, that the use of a starter pistol between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday is allowed. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Levine, Shepherd, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Brauer and Watson. Chairperson Nixt called a brief recess at 9.'33 p.m. The meeting was resumed at 9.'40 p.m. Case #5 Public Hearing - Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Oversized Accessory Building; Case of Keith Schmidt Presentation Assistant Community Development Director Frolik advised that the City has received a request for a conditional use permit for an oversized accessory building located at 8100 151st Lane NW. She indicated that the pr/oposed building would be 1,760 square feet in size, and combined with the existing attached garage, the applicant would have 2,244 square feet in accessory building space. She noted this results in an overage of 580 square feet. She indicated that Staff is recommending approval. Public Hearing Chairperson Nixt opened the public hearing at 9:41 p.m. There were no citizen comments. Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to close the public hearing at 9:41 p.m. Motion can'ied.
