(iasc #10B: 160th Lane Condemnation Proceedings City Attorney Goodrich reviewed that on June 28, 2005 the City Council held a closed meeting trod approved by consensus the payment of $41,500 for the condemnation proceedings of the l)usbabck property on 160th Lane. Staff is requesting that the Council confirm this payment authorization in this open meeting, and authorize that the City would not specially assess the l)usbabck property for improvements on 160th Lane in the future, unless the property is subdivided. This exemption from assessments does not apply to charges for sewer and water. Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to confirm the payment of $41,500 fox' the condemnation proceedings on the Dusbabek property on 160th Lane as was approved by Council consensus at the June 28, 2005 closed meeting, and to authorize that there will be no assessments for future improvements to 160th Lane, unless the parcel is subdivided. (iasc #1 I: Report from Finance Committee I) Cinema Facility Consulting Services City Administrator Norman advised Mr. Paul Silk, a Ramsey resident with thirty years of experience in the motion picture business, has approached the City with a contract proposal that outlines his assistance to the City during negotiations for a Cinema in Town Center. Mr. Silk would bc retained by the City for a period of two years at a total fee of $5,000. This would be a xvorthwhile contract for the City. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. 2) Contract with D JR Architecture, Inc. for Masterplan Design Services of a Fitness Center in Ramsey Town Center ('~ity Administrator Norman advised D JR Architecture, Inc. has submitted a two phase proposal outlining their services for the community center/fitness center project. The first phase would consist of: gathering data, code and zoning review and preliminary site planning/programming. ~l'he second phase would commence development of a master plan with a concept building plan that would provide the basis for the preliminary building footprint/location. The total fee for the two phases is $69,100. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. Councilmcmber Elvig explained there was fair amount of discussion on this and the potential for a hotel as well.
