Staff is requesting that the Council confirm this payment <br />authorization in this open meeting, and authorize that the City would not specially assess the <br />l)usbabck property for improvements on 160th Lane in the future, unless the property is <br />subdivided. Absent: Councilmembers Olson and Strommen. <br /> <br />(iasc #1 I: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />I) Cinema Facility Consulting Services <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman advised Mr. Paul Silk, a Ramsey resident with thirty years of <br />experience in the motion picture business, has approached the City with a contract proposal that <br />outlines his assistance to the City during negotiations for a Cinema in Town Center. Mr. Silk <br />would bc retained by the City for a period of two years at a total fee of $5,000. This would be a <br />xvorthwhile contract for the City. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Contract with D JR Architecture, Inc. for Masterplan Design Services of a <br />Fitness Center in Ramsey Town Center <br /> <br />('~ity Administrator Norman advised D JR Architecture, Inc. has submitted a two phase proposal <br />outlining their services for the community center/fitness center project. The first phase would <br />consist of: gathering data, code and zoning review and preliminary site planning/programming. <br />~l'he second phase would commence development of a master plan with a concept building plan <br />that would provide the basis for the preliminary building footprint/location. The total fee for the <br />two phases is $69,100. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Elvig explained there was fair amount of discussion on this and the potential for <br />a hotel as well.
