Further discussion: Councilmember Strommen inquired about the site Dave Perkins <br />Contracting will be moving to. City Administrator Norman replied Dave Perkins Contracting <br />will be moving to a property to the south. The City would likely only use a portion of this <br />property. CR 116 will likely expand and space will be needed for right-of-way. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Jeffrey, Elvig, Olson, <br />t'earson~ and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Introduction of an Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lot 1, Block 2, <br />Gateway North Industrial Park Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained this ordinance relates to the City's business subsidy agreement <br />with Dave Perkins Contracting. As part of the transaction, the City is to convey title to Lot 1, <br />Block 2, Gateway North Industrial Park to Dave Perkins Contracting. In order to complete this <br />transaction a sale ordinance needs to be introduced and adopted authorizing the sale. <br /> <br />Counci hnember Elvig questioned if the City will be getting a good sale for this property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied it will be part of the TIF agreement that comes back to the <br />Council. This ordinance will set up the mechanics for the sale. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook asked if this sale is part of the relocation negotiation. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich responded in the affirmative. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to introduce an <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway North Industrial Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Olson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Jeffrey, and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: <br /> <br />Consider Authorization of Improvement Project 05-24 St. Francis Boulevard <br />Frontage Road Improvements <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that the public hearing for Improvement Project <br />05-24 St. Francis Boulevard Frontage Road Improvements was held on May 17, 2005 and was <br />continued and adjourned on June 28, 2005. The 60 day waiting period specified by Section <br />4.60.05 sub. 1 of City Code for projects of this nature has now passed and the Council may now <br />acl to order the preparation of plans and specifications for the work outlined in the feasibility <br />study. 11c advised staff recommends that this project be ordered and that the City Council direct <br />that staff prepare plans and specifications for the improvements. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt resolution 05- <br />09-308 ordering Improvement Project 05-24, Saint Francis Boulevard Frontage Road <br />Improvement, and that staff be directed to prepare plans and specifications for the improvements. <br /> <br />City Council / September 13, 2005 <br /> Page 21 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
