MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT Continued Discussion of Case #14B City Administrator Norman requested the Council revisit the discussion of Case No. 14B. He saggestcd the Council approve the purchase agreement with contingencies in relation to the Council's questions. He explained the City will purchase the property regardless of the method that is used. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to enter into a purchase agreement with Ramsey Town Center, LLC for the purchase of the parcel of land located at 6701 Highway I 0 NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, for a total purchase price of $1,800,000.00 which amount is to be funded by the Metropolitan Council approving the purchase and the purchase price and City Attorney approval of the final purchase agreement terms, contingent on final approval of the City Council as to the terms of the purchase agreement. Further discussion: Mayor Gamec stated he does not want any of these issues with large amounts of dollars coming to the Council meetings at the last minute anymore. A special meeting can be called in the future if needed. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Jeffrey, Olson, ?carson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Mayor Announcements Mayor Gamec announced the following: · l tc was contacted by Representative Jim Abeler requesting a copy of the letter sent to MnDOT by City Staff regarding the Pleasant Street improvement project. Representative Abeler is working with the state to initiate changes to the improvement project. · I tappy Days activities will begin this weekend. · Peter Bell will be speaking at the Elected Officials Meeting on Friday morning at 7:30 ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adjourn the meeting.
