<br /> Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-187 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />IN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY’S AND EASEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey desires to ensure that all municipal utilities installed <br />within public right-of-way’s and easements are able to be adequately maintained in perpetuity <br />by City Staff using City-owned equipment and vehicles. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City shall be responsible for maintaining municipal utilities installed within <br />public right-of-way’s and easements. <br />2) The City shall not accept utilities smaller than the following minimum design standards; <br />a. 4-inch PVC gravity sanitary sewer <br />b. 4-inch HDPE sanitary sewer forcemain <br />c. 6-inch DIP watermain <br />d. 12-inch concrete or HDPE storm sewer <br />3) The City shall not accept any designs that are not able to be maintained by City-owned <br />equipment or vehicles. <br />4) The City may consider accepting smaller utilities on a case by case basis if it can be <br />clearly demonstrated that the City will only need to maintain the smaller utilities for 10 <br />years or less, until permanent utilities meeting the minimum design standards can be <br />constructed, or that the smaller utilities will be maintained by a private party through <br />an adopted maintenance agreement. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
