<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-351 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR LOT 4, BLOCK 1, <br />RIVERSIDE WEST: CASE OF WINDOWS AND DOORS USA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 28, 2021 the Ramsey City Council approved a purchase <br />Agreement with Windows and Doors USA (the “Buyer”) to purchase Lot 4, Block 1, Riverside <br />West and to construct a 10,000 SF Office, showroom / warehouse; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of December 9, 2021 the City has not received an executed Purchase <br />Agreement and $3000.00 in Earnest Money from the Buyer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has made efforts to contact the Buyer to discuss the status of the <br />Purchase Agreement but has been unable to connect with the Buyer since October 27, 2021; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Due to the uncertain status of the Purchase Agreement with Windows and <br />Doors USA, Lot 4, Block 1, Riverside West has effectively been off the market for over two <br />months; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 9, 2021, the EDA unanimously recommended that the City <br />Council provide written notice to Windows and Doors USA the Purchase Agreement is no longer <br />valid but to continue to work with them in the event that they would like to submit another offer <br />for consideration or enter into a new purchase agreement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes City Staff provide written notice to Windows and <br />Doors USA the Purchase Agreement approved on September 28, 2021 is no longer valid <br />but to continue to work with Windows and Doors USA in the event that they would like to <br />submit another offer for consideration or enter into a new purchase agreement <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
