NEW I, TREFIGHTER UPDATE <br /> <br />· Firefighter Grega will start class in March. <br /> <br />7 'R A INING <br /> <br />Officer I Jemm reviewed the Training report. <br /> <br />· February training included A vs. B Company, a Hazemat Right to Know and OSHA and the <br /> Firefighter. <br /> <br /> March training includes a Chief's Drill, which will be a water utility training covering such <br /> items as water geology, hydrant operations, and how the water travels from the ground to the <br /> hydrant. Other March training will be a Medics Training and Agility Testing. <br /> <br />· RIT training will be in April and May. <br /> <br />· Beginning in April the location of training will switch between Station #1 in the odd months <br /> and Station #2 in the even months. ' <br /> <br />· Assistant Chief Hoxter and Officer Weiss attended the State School in Mankato; Firefighter <br /> Ostrum will attend in Duluth. Officer Lemm will encourage firefighters to attend a State <br /> School at the next business meeting. <br /> <br />° Thc Department will train in confined space rescue in 2001, to certify the training needs to be <br /> three sessions. Next year the Department will train in trench rescue. <br /> <br />° Officers discussed the possibilities of training for the officer group. <br /> <br />· League of Minnesota Cities has training available. <br /> <br />INCIDENT REPORT <br /> <br />Chief Kapler reviewed the Incident report. <br /> <br />° In l:cbruary there were 18 calls, of which 9 were rescue and 9 were fire. Total dollar damage <br /> was approximately $100,000. <br /> <br />FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICE <br /> <br />° Thc Department will start a service for daycare facilities.
