She was also named chair of the Intergovernmental and Community Relations and Public Safety committees. She was named vice chair of the Finance and Capital Improvements and Management committees. "It is truly an honor and a privilege to be re-elected by my colleagues to serve as the vice chair of our County Board," Braastad said. "I am looking forward to seeing the great work our board will accomplish in 2022." Braastad will serve on the Human Services, Transportation, Benefits and Compensation, Regional Economic Development Executive, Ag Preservations Credit Ad Hoc, and Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) Public Safety Policy Committees. She will also serve on the North TH 65 Corridor Coalition; Board of Oversight of Court -Appointed Attorneys; Joint Law Enforcement Council; Midwest Regional Forensic Laboratory Advisory Board; Anoka County Regional Railroad Authority; and the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Braastad is an alternate for the AMC Board of Directors and the AMC District 10 Executive Committee. She is an AMC voting delegate and the 2022 National Association of Counties Annual Conference first alternate delegate.
