· Ramsey Lions will purchase the radio/light package for the rescue truck. <br /> <br />RAMSEY LIONS <br /> <br />· As well as purchasing the radio/light package for the rescue truck, Ramsey Lions will be <br /> purchasing water rescue survival suits and contribute funds for a thermal imaging camera. <br /> <br />ELK RIVER LIONS <br /> <br />The F. lk River Lions will purchase a defibrillator for the Department. One third of their <br />members are Ramsey residents, and they want to contribute to the Department. <br /> <br />FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICE <br /> <br />· The Department has loaned out five extinguishers since the program began this month. <br /> <br />FLOODING <br /> <br />Residents on Bowers Drive will be sandbagging their homes. The Mississippi River is <br />expected to crest sometime between Friday and Tuesday. The Rum River is expected to crest <br />a few days later. <br /> <br />evacuation is necessary and Department help is needed, it will be toned out. <br /> <br />PAYROLL <br /> <br />· Timc sheets will be distributed next week for signatures. Paychecks will be given on April <br /> 26, 2001. <br /> <br />SPECIAL RECOGNITION <br /> <br />Assistant Chief Simpson was mentioned again for all the extra time and effort he has given to <br />the Department. <br /> <br />The Department will staff the Fire Escape House at the Anoka County Fair on July 24th. <br /> <br />The Ramsey Lions Community Picnic is June 2~a. The Department will sell corn again this year. <br />A demonstration at the picnic and an informal open house at the new station is being considered. <br />It is an important event for firefighters to take part in.
