FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />~l'hc Ramscy Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Sunday, July 8, 2001, <br />at Ramscy Fire Station #2, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Assistant Chief Simpson <br />Officer Lemm <br />Officer Lewandowski <br />Officer Sharp <br />Officer Streich <br />Officer Weiss <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chief Kapler called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 6:20 p.m. <br />Riverfest was added to the agenda. <br /> <br />The next officer's meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 29, 2001, 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Duty officer for July is Officer Sharp. Duty officer for August is Officer Lemm and September <br />is Officcr Streich. <br /> <br />Duty ofticers may take the squad car home. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />Thcrc should be a supply of water and ice at the stations, especially for hot days. Officer <br />Sharp will purchase two coolers, water and ice. Purchase of a powder that mixes with water <br />and has the effects of Gatorade was discussed. <br /> <br />A supply of safety glasses will be kept in mask bags and stored on each vehicle. Officer <br />Lewandowski and Streich will bag the glasses and have on the vehicles by the Business <br />Meeting. <br /> <br />Currently, the heat gun is in the glove box on Engine #2. The Department would like to have <br />a cabinet in Engine #2 to store it in. Assistant Chief Hoxter and Officer Weiss will contact <br />Connexus and Bruce West of Elk River Fire Department to get information on the cabinets <br />they have on their vehicles. <br /> <br />STATION #1 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Thc maps are installed and look good at both stations thanks to Assistant Chief Simpson, <br /> Officers Lewandowski, Sharp and Weiss and Firefighter Minear. <br /> <br /> <br />
