STATION #1 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Building maintenance will paint the training room and office next week. <br /> <br />STATi()N #2 UPDATE <br /> <br /> Phone lines won't support the MDT so the Department will wait until September and will be <br /> a testing station for wireless MDT. <br /> <br />FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICE <br /> <br />· The lh'e extinguisher service is well received. <br /> <br />· Sixty percent of the extinguishers are not working and can not be refilled. <br /> <br />PUllLIC SAFETY BOARD <br /> <br />· Thc Public Safety Board will have a meeting to discuss boat purchase, permit fees, an aerial <br /> truck and Appeal Board for Inspections. <br /> <br />FIRE INVESTIGATION UPDATE <br /> <br />· Chicl"Kapler reviewed ongoing investigations. <br /> <br />· Thc l)uty Officer makes the decision if the Sheriff's Department should be called to the <br /> scene. If serious injury or death occurs the State Fire Marshall and County Sheriff must be <br /> called. <br /> <br />NEW RECRUIT PROCESS <br /> <br />· Agility testing for the new recruits was rescheduled due to the heat. <br /> <br />· Seven applicants were interviewed. <br /> <br />I JONS <br /> <br />· Thc l)cpartment received a check for $282.50 from the Lions for half the profits at Riverfest. <br /> <br />FEMA UPDATE <br /> <br />· k;ight cities have received FEMA money.
