FEMA (;RANT <br /> <br />· Thc l)epartment will receive a grant from FEMA to cover fire prevention/education and the <br /> inspection program. <br /> <br />· Ofticcr Streich presented what the grant will purchase. <br /> <br />FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICE <br /> <br />· This past week three extinguishers w&e brought to the station to be repaired. <br /> <br />· More extinguishers are being purchased than repaired. <br /> <br />FIRE PREVENTION/INVESTIGATION UPDATE <br /> <br />· Officer Streich reviewed the current investigations. <br /> <br />· Station//2 will be staffed during Fire Prevention Week for daycare visits. <br /> <br />· Some daycare facilities and the elementary school will be visited by firefighters throughout <br /> the week. <br /> <br />· An open house will be held at Station #2 on Saturday, October 13th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. <br /> Tours will be given, fire extinguisher demonstrations will be held and there will be balloons <br /> and lbod. <br /> <br />· Anoka County is looking for a place to store their Safe House. <br /> <br />STATION #1 <br /> <br />· Thc painting has been completed and the new furniture installed. <br /> <br />STATI()N #2 <br /> <br />· l:ircfighter pictures will be hung before Fire Prevention Week. <br /> <br />FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR <br /> <br />· Officers discussed and voted on the fundraiser of the year. <br /> <br />END OF YEAR INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />· Chicl' Kapler and the assistant chief of the opposite station will hold the interviews. <br /> <br />· Questions to be included will be similar to: <br /> · ! low was the training throughout the year? <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/OCTOBER 2, 2001 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
