WATER RESCUE <br /> <br />· The boat and trailer will be here anytime. Once they have arrived a motor will be purchased. <br /> <br />· Area pools will be used for the out of boat training and once the ice is out of the lakes the <br /> boat training will be done at a lake. The river will not be used because of high current. <br /> <br />BURNS PROPOSAL <br /> <br />· Thc City Council approved the Bums Proposal with Chief Kapler contacting a few other <br /> cities to make sure our charges are in line with what other cities charge. <br /> <br />· Elk River and Ramsey have agreed to mutual aid, with the city that has the contract for that <br /> portion of Burns receiving the fees. <br /> <br />· The personal injury calls will be for extrication only. <br /> <br />ALARMS SOG DISCUSSION <br /> <br />· A SOG needs to be established for false alarms and how the system should be when <br /> fircfi ghters leave. <br /> <br />· A meeting was scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19th in the conference room. <br /> <br />IS() RATING <br /> <br />· Thc I SO records show the last review was done in 1992. <br /> <br />· A formal request for a review will be submitted this week. The request should include the <br /> changes and additions since 1992. <br /> <br />FEMA GRANT <br /> <br />There are 510 fire departments in the State of Minnesota who applied for a grant, 42 of them <br />received a FEMA grant last year. Officer Streich reviewed what has been purchased and <br />what is yet to be purchased with this grant. There is a balance of approximately $65,000, <br />which will be used to purchase NFP Library, videos, hearing impaired equipment and finance <br />the lock box program. <br /> <br />Officer Streich would like input as to what the Department should request on this year's <br />FEMA grant application.
