Chief Kapler was in contact with Bums Township regarding an illegal burn and at that time <br />he was informed that they have not made a decision on the Department's proposal. <br /> <br />UNION ARTICLE <br /> <br />Tammy, a reporter with the Anoka Union interviewed Chief Kapler for an article on the <br />I)epartment. She is interested in writing a feature on a couple of the new firefighters; this <br />would be a series of articles beginning with being new to the Department. <br /> <br />DNR IIPI)ATE <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler receives a daily e-mail wildfire update from the DNR. Today's update was <br /> dislributed to the officers. <br /> <br />SOIJTllWEST UNIVERSITY SURVEY <br /> <br />· Oflicers should get the Southwest University Survey turned in if they have not done so. <br /> <br />MO NTIt LY REPORTS <br /> <br />A $'/q1S7',4 NT CItlEF ItOXTER <br /> <br />Thc garage doors passed their monthly test. <br /> <br />Station #2 tools are 95% labeled. <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler is working on the roof repair and the chip in the floor by Rescue #2. <br /> <br />In April there were 16 calls, 2 were rescue, of which 0 were CO and 14 were fire. There <br />were 3 day calls, 7 night calls and 6 weekend calls. There was 0 Mutual Aid calls. There was <br />approximately $176,000 dollar damage. <br /> <br />Year to date was not available. <br /> <br />· Average response time for rescue calls in April was 5.5 minutes, average attendance was 11 <br /> fircfighters and average time on the scene was 47 minutes. <br /> <br />· Avcrage response time for fire calls in January was 6.1 minutes, average attendance was 17 <br /> fircfighters and average time on the scene was 61 minutes. <br /> <br />· Illegal burns are reported on the State Reports as fire calls, for payroll purposes they are <br /> considered rescue calls. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/APRIL 30, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
