INCIDENT REPORT <br /> <br /> In September there were 28 calls, 6 were rescue, of which 0 were CO and 22 were fire. There <br /> were 12 day calls, 7 night calls and 9 weekend calls. There was 1 Mutual Aid call <br /> <br />· Year to date there has been 233 calls, 62 were rescue of which 15 were extrications and 171 <br /> were fire of which 29 were cancelled alarms. There was 7 Mutual Aid calls. <br /> <br />· Average response time for rescue calls in September was 6 minutes, average attendance was <br /> 17 fircfighters and average time on the scene was 79 minutes. <br /> <br />· Average response time for fire calls in September was 6.5 minutes, average attendance was <br /> 16 firefighters and average time on the scene was 57 minutes. <br /> <br />STATION CLEANUP <br /> <br />· Firctighter Groezinger's group has station cleanup this month. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· Soon winter driving practices will need to be used. Streets with new pavement will be slick, <br /> so need to take extra precautions on those. <br /> <br />· it is getting dark earlier in the evening so make sure the scenes have enough light and road <br /> blocks. <br /> <br />· Beginning November 1st the trucks will need to be drained after a call. <br /> <br />PATCH UPDATE <br /> <br />° Thc prototype should be here any day and then approximately 500 patches will be ordered. <br /> <br />· 'l'hc Department owns all rights to the patch and it will be considered part of the uniform. <br /> The only other use of the patch will be for exchange with other departments. <br /> <br />I,ADDER TRUCK PROCESS <br /> <br />· When the chassis arrives a decision will need to be made on the location of switches. <br /> <br />FIRE PREVENTION/INSPECTION UPDATE <br /> <br />· Firclighters have seen 250 kids so far this Fire Prevention Week and Thursday and Friday <br /> will be busy days also. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT/OCTOBER 9, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
