Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-305 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #22-05, RIVERDALE DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, LLAMA <br />STREET TO BOWERS DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, existing Riverdale Drive between Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Armstrong <br />Boulevard functions as the south frontage road to U.S. Highway 10/169; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to extend Riverdale Drive between Llama <br />Street and Bowers Drive to extend the south frontage road system south of U.S. Highway 10/169 <br />to Bowers Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, this improvement project is consistent with the goals and objectives of the <br />Highway 10 Access Planning Study completed in 2014 in partnership between the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the Anoka County Highway Department, and <br />broadly supported by partnering agencies including the City of Anoka, City of Ramsey, Anoka <br />County, MnDOT, and the Metropolitan Council; and <br />WHEREAS, trunk utilities are proposed to be extended prior to the extension of <br />Riverdale Drive to serve this area of the City with municipal utilities since the land is zoned as <br />MUSA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has the capability to adequately fund these trunk utility <br />improvements using utility enterprise funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City received a professional services proposal from Bolton & Menk, <br />Inc. to prepare final plans and specifications and administer bids for said improvements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Bolton & Menk, Inc. for said professional services for and on behalf of <br />the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
