CC Work Session 2, 5, <br />Meeting Date: 11/23/2021 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Consider Request to Study Cost of City Parks and Trails Maintenance and Operation <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Councilmembers Howell and Musgrove have requested council consideration of a detailed and itemized <br />expenditure list from Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood in collaboration with <br />Finance Director Diana Lund, if needed, that specifies our costs for parks. This should include the actual cost of turf <br />maintenance (including person hours, chemicals, equipment hours, acreage, etc), trails (including person hours, <br />boardwalk upkeep, materials and equipment cost specific to the task), playground equipment throughout the park <br />system (person hours and repair costs), dog parks (number of person hours spent cleaning these per week).
