MEMQRANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND AMERICAN FEDERATION OF <br />STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) <br />.. <br />M.O.U. TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES <br />The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to memorialize the <br />b gyration <br />of State, County and -Municipal Employees (AFSC 'LE) concerning temporary employees <br />• ; <br />The EMPLOYER may hire up to six (6) temporary maintenance workers including two (2) <br />EMPLOYEES in the Parks Division, two (2) EMPLOYEES in the Streets Division, and <br />for TEMPORARY FULL TIME AND/OR TEMPORARY PART TIME U`IION <br />MEMBERS include, but are not limited to the following: <br />1. shall be scheduled to work up to a maximums of 21{1 days in a calendar year and <br />2. shall not be eligible for vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay, health insurance, <br />'life insurance or any other fringe benefit unless otherwise dictated by the <br />3. shall be paid at a rate of 80% of step one of the maintenance worker wage scale <br />and will not be eligible for step changes; and <br />4. shall not be entitled to protections under Article 16 Layoffs, including rights to <br />recall; and <br />6. may be terminated at the sole discretion of the EMPLOYER d+rri- the entire <br />period of temporary employment, regardless of whether the length of te-rnpo <br />x <br />17.1; and <br />J11K 11� 111 Ll1Y Y T Yll <br />toward probation. <br />FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY: <br />ATTEST: <br />City Administrator Date <br />49 <br />
